Vizrt has announced the appointment of Dipesh Makwana as business development manager for the Middle East and wider Asia Pacific area with a focus on sports. Following a decade-long presence in the Middle East, Makwana has built positive relationships with both vendors and customers in the broadcast world.

After joining Vizrt in October 2022 as key account manager for the APAC region, Makwana relocated to Bangkok, Thailand for the role and has now settled back into Vizrt UAE, in the heart of Dubai. He commented: “There is a huge opportunity in the region with the growth of sports, alongside the developments in technology innovating the content and engaging with viewers and fans.”

Makwana plans to steer the trajectory of growth and business development for Vizrt, drawing from the expertise he has gathered from working in technology, broadcast and sports over his two-decades-long career. He is also responsible for the support of Vizrt customers to achieve success in real-time graphics, virtual studios, telestration and sports analysis, as well as cloud live production.

“At Vizrt, we’re focused on providing the best solutions to enable content creators to tell their sports stories. From cricket to football, and everything in between, I look forward to supporting our customers, and seeing what we achieve, together,” said Makwana.
