Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe has released its P721Q 4K UHD projector, part of a new projection family consisting of two new models, the Sharp P601Q and Sharp P721Q. Leveraging DLP technology and a brightness of up to 6,000 ANSI lumens and 7,200 ANSI lumens respectively, the two projectors have been designed for meeting rooms, museums and higher education environments.

The projectors provide crisp 4K UHD image resolution and reportedly require zero maintenance over a long 20,000-hour lifespan. The completely sealed optical engine and laser light source means filter and lamp replacement is obsolete. Additionally, users can achieve image alignment through motorised zoom and focus capabilities, complemented by a fully motorised lens shift for precision and clarity. The projection characteristics are said to make it easy to position the projectors, simplifying installations and potentially reducing setup costs. With Risk Group 2 compliance, the models eliminate the need for prescribed safety precautions for a safe and worry-free operating environment.
