WyreStorm takes a multiview approach
The NHD-0401-MV is a multiview switcher that can be used as a standalone solution or with a NetworkHD 400 or 500 Series system. For a standalone solution, users can connect the source devices directly to the four HDMI inputs and a display to the HDMI output to present the multiview image on the display device. Alternatively, customers can connect the switcher to a network switch with an NHD-CTL-PRO and link it to NetworkHD 400 or 500 Series encoders and decoders to transmit the multiview signal to an NHD receiver. The switcher comes pre-loaded with five different multiview layouts offering different viewing experiences. 4K60 HDMI 2.0 inputs allow the switcher to support all the latest 4K HDR content with zero compression. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR and has audio de-embed capability, as well as an HDMI downscaler that will automatically adjust the resolution to match the maximum capability of the connected display.
The NHD-500-DNT-TX is the latest addition to the NetworkHD 500 Series, an HDMI 2.0 AV-over-IP solution capable of encoding up to 4K60 4:4:4 @ 8-bit over 1Gbps network via copper or fibre connection, including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG content. The NHD-500-DNT-TX is the Dante version that has the same technical and physical features of the existing NHD-500-TX with the addition of an integrated 2CH Dante and AES67 audio output for enhanced interoperability with other Dante and AES67-enabled hardware solutions, such as amplifiers, DSPs, mixers or speakers. The NHD-500-DNT-TX allows Dante to transmit audio from one of two inputs, HDMI or analogue. The analogue input can be used as a method to connect bring-your-own audio devices or as a connection to a microphone in a podium/presentation or similar applications. It is particularly useful in scenarios such as live events, professional broadcasts and houses of worship.
Finally, the NHD-500-E is described as a more economical version of the manufacturer’s NHD-500 encoders and decoders. The NHD-500-E variants retain many of the same application uses as the standard 500 TX and RX with some stripped-down features that are not required for some types of AV installations. They retain 4K60 video encoding, PoE and videowall processing; however, a few other features have been removed, such as the fibre, USB, S/PDIF, analogue audio out on the decoder, 3.5mm audio on the encoder and the RS-232 on the encoder.
