Latest MSolutions switch brings HDBaseT into IPMX
By partnering with the IPMX community, MSolutions has added further utility when bridging HDBaseT rooms through IPMX AV-over-IP networks. As a result, the company’s 4x1 HDBaseT MS-0401E switch works in concert with HDBaseT-to-IPMX gateway products to bring cameras, projectors and other HDBaseT equipment onto the network.
“MSolutions adds clear value to organisations trying to securely connect their HDBaseT rooms with this product,” said Samuel Recine, Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) Pro AV Working Group chairperson. “This product makes campus-wide sharing of AV content possible across two different technological planes of switching. It makes it far easier to achieve different combinations of products according to the needs of enterprise, government and education users and makes them all switchable through IPMX NMOS controllers.”
Spearheaded by AIMS, IPMX is an emerging set of standards and open specifications for AV-over-IP. The MS-0401E is a four-way HDBaseT/IP gateway in a small form factor offering five HDBaseT/IP ports and two differing types of HDBaseT/IP switching. It can be used with any manufacturer’s compatible HDBaseT transmitter and receiver equipment to provide extra connectivity to larger distribution systems, or for separation of multiple units via LAN.
