AVID demonstrates collaborative workflows at IBC
This year at IBC, Avid has placed an emphasis on solutions that transform the way content teams collaborate and has debuted several new products to help creators speed up workflows and create their content more quickly and efficiently.
“The media industry’s transition to work-from-anywhere was significantly accelerated by the pandemic,” said Tim Claman, SVP and general manager, video and media solutions, Avid. “In response, we have been working more closely than ever before with Avid customers to imagine new ways of working, implementing new cloud-enabled solutions for remote working and workforce mobility.”
Making its debut at IBC is the Avid NEXIS | EDGE solution for post-production teams, which permits collaboration from any location with secure, remote access to media and metadata and therefore provides editors with the same media access, workflow and user experience they have come to depend on from in-facility environments.
Also making their debut at the show was the NEXIS VFS and NEXIS F-series shared media storage solutions. NEXIS VFS allows customers to deploy proven NEXIS workflows on premises or in the cloud so that they evolve their operations over time with a flexible, subscription business model.
