Consisting of active and passive units linked to each other, Audac has developed the ARES5A two-way active loudspeaker. In addition to a 5.25-inch woofer and 0.5-inch HF tweeter, the ABS enclosure incorporates an integrated amplifier delivering dual 40W RMS power. Capable of delivering a maximum SPL of 105dB, the active speaker includes a stereo amplifier module, also delivering the input signal to the passive unit. Unbalanced audio sources can be connected through a 3.5mm jack connector, while balanced sources can be connected to the terminal block input connection allowing long signal runs without interference. In addition to the two-band tone control, a volume potentiometer adjusts loudness levels and the auto-standby mode reduces power consumption when no input signal is detected.

Providing flexibility, a specially designed bracket system allows close to wall installation of the speakers, while a recessed bracket structure provides a cosmetic outlook of the system. Weighing 3.5kg and measuring 150mm x 240mm x 146mm (WxHxD), the ARES5A can be mounted both horizontally and vertically with an inclination up to 45° on both sides, enabling users to position the loudspeaker in the right direction. The bracket consists of two 45° edges to promote installation in corners or ceilings, while the optional MBK455 angled mounting bracket allows for an extra inclination of 90° if required. A remote input connection implemented through an RJ45 connector allows wall panel connections, allowing expansion of the system through remote input modules.

The Sound Projection (SP) series has been extended with the development of the ASP20 spherical loudspeaker. Primarily designed for factory halls or large retail spaces with open ceilings, the ASP20 uses an 8-inch driver and a 70V/100V line transformer with 20W, 10W and 5W tappings. Weighing 2.95kg, the ABS-sealed enclosure is resistant to moisture and UV light with a IP56-rating. Operating within an 80Hz – 18kHz (±3dB) frequency range, the ASP20 can be mounted safely to a ceiling courtesy of a 3.5m connection cable with a steel core.The Sound Projection (SP) series has been extended with the development of the ASP20 spherical loudspeaker. The manufacturer has also released its IMEO2 Soundbar, designed for classrooms, presentation rooms or meeting rooms where it can be used and installed in combination with screens, smartboards or projectors. The acoustics originate from a three-way speaker construction, composed of two 1.5-inch high-frequency drivers, two 2-inch mid-frequency drivers and a low-frequency section with two 2.5-inch low-frequency drivers with an RMS rating. The power handling reaches an overall level of 60W RMS. The Class-D amplifier with integrated WaveSelect DSP processing and transmission line configuration for the low-frequency drivers is said to offer a crystal-clear sound reproduction and low-frequency response. Selectable DSP presets offer optimisation for applications such as presentations, music playback or videos.
