TheyDoe Academy attains SubtitleNEXT partnership status

PBT EU has announced that cinematic subtitling and translation specialists TheyDoe Academy has received SubtitleNEXT Academy Partner certification. SubtitleNEXT is a tool that allows for both regular subtitling, closed captioning/SDH, semi-live subtitling and live subtitling via a customisable interface. The system enables users to connect to any live source such as broadcast feeds, webinars, Zoom, AV desks and live streams, with the translated subtitles delivered to laptops, tablets, or smartphones in real time.

Established in 2019, TheyDoe Academy provides dedicated subtitling training for the likes of Netflix and many other organisations across the Middle East and internationally. SubtitleNEXT provides right-to-left languages (RTL) support, for which TheyDoe Academy claims no other subtitling applications come close.

“While using this extraordinary software application, I found all subtitlers' needs in one system. We’ve been offering training courses since 2019, myself since 2015, and I have not come across a more flexible software system that can match SubtitleNEXT,” explained founder and CEO of TheyDoe Academy, Mustafa Al-Sotohy. “I highly recommend it to Middle East subtitlers and across the globe.”

The tool supports non-file-based media and direct video signals – analogue, digital and streaming – which makes it suitable for all types of live shows and events such as festivals, theatre, presentations, conferences and seminars. Its “automation for airing” feature is also useful for live shows and events with prepared subtitles.
