The TS-920 is more suited for larger applications of up to 192 microphone units, whereas the TS-820 can connect a maximum of 64 units

Designed for business, corporate, educational and government meetings, TOA has created the TS-820 and TS-920 wireless conference units.

Theinfrared-based transmission arrangement of the chairman and delegate microphone units can be quickly and flexibly set up in different rooms and with varied participant numbers. In addition, infrared communication assures freedom from eavesdropping and interference. Complete with voting functionality, the TS-920 is more suited for larger applications of up to 192 microphone units, whereas the TS-820 can connecta maximum of 64 units.

Technical features of the standalone systems include integrated automatic feedback suppression, an auto-gain-control function that automatically adjusts the volume to the speaker and an auto-off function that automatically turns off the microphone after 30s of non-use. In addition to a subline for second language monitoring and a priority speech function, both systems offer two selectable voice channels and different priority modes, allowingup to four microphones to be controlled simultaneously. The system software can also be adapted to the respective use, for example by integrating cameras.

Sessions can be recorded in the internal memory or on an external USB device that connects to the central control unit where system functions can be set and managed. Since the TS-921 chairman unit and the TS-922 delegate unit require no wiring, they permit easy installation based on an unrestricted layout. The infrared transmitter/receiver unit and recording equipment are connected to the TS-920 central unit, and the system function settings and status indications are performed at the central unit.

By mounting the TS-905 IR transmitterto the ceiling, wall or microphone stand and connection is made to the TS-907IR receiver, the rack-mountable TS-920RC central unit can control the TS-921 chairman and TS-922delegate units via infrared signals. An installation confirmation function on the central unit verifies the connection status of the IR transmitter and receiver in addition to thechairman and delegate units, together with the voting function. A headphone monitor output is included. Equipped with a remaining battery indicatorto read the status of the BP-900A lithium-ion battery, mains power can also be provided via the AD-0910 ACadapter. Dedicated delegate and chairman microphones can be equipped with either standard (TS-923) or long versions(TS-924).
