K-array celebrates dual anniversary

This year marks 15 years since the establishment of K-array and 30 years since the formation of its parent company, HP Sound Equipment. The two anniversaries will reportedly be recognised throughout 2020 with various celebrations taking place for both K-array and HP Sound Equipment clients, suppliers and staff.

HP Sound had its start in 1990 as a supplier for studio design and installations in radio and television. In 2005, the three founding partners – Massimo Ferrati, Alessandro Tatini and Carlo Tatini – decided to develop their own line of live sound reinforcement solutions and K-array was born. Initially operating primarily as a rental company, K-array's early mission was to seek an alternative to traditional PA design, reducing the volume and weight of enclosures needed for touring. After several years of research and testing, K-array’s flagship Concert Series was introduced.

K-array's catalogue of products grew, as did its team. Today, the Italian manufacturer has more than 60 employees at its home base in Tuscany, as well as 40 distributors around the world.
