Tehran-based systems integrator Electrovision has completed another AV installation for an Iranian higher education establishment. The latest project at Tehran University’s Faculty of Theology building saw the Electrovision technical team install a full range of sound, lighting and video equipment to facilitate scientific discussions and training’s in the 250-seat auditorium.

‘Due to the nature of this faculty, this hall needed a unique interior decoration, so our design team devised a special design for the walls which originated from the spirit of Iranian architecture and art,’ commented Majid Mahdavian, CEO of Electrovision. ‘We can claim that this hall is one of the few auditoriums in Iran which has a unique decoration and takes steps to revive Iranian traditional architecture.’

In addition to the bespoke architecture, Electrovision opted to reinforce the auditorium with a combination of Electro-Voice ZX4 2-way passive loudspeakers, EV SX 300 12-inch passive loudspeakers and SXA100 12-inch powered cabinets functioning as stage monitors. Power for the passive cabinets is from Dynacord CL 800 amplifiers and control for the whole sound system comes from a Dynacord CMS-1600 mixer located in the control room. A set of Electro-Voice N/D 967 dynamic mics, an RE2-N7 wireless handheld, RE2BP-ULM21 lavalier mic and Clockaudio CE 800 gooseneck mics provide audio capture during lectures and presentations.

For video capture, the team opted for a set of Sanyo PTZ Cams paired with a Datavideo SE-500 video switcher, which feeds a Panasonic EH-69 DVD recorder. On the south wall of the hall a 5,000 ANSI lumens Sanyo data projector is installed to show slides and videos on the installed projection screen.

To create the right atmosphere, Curva and Ribalta Spot and flood lights from Italian brand Teclumen light up the auditorium during presentations and can be controlled by a Pulsar 12-channels DMX control desk located in the control room.
